FAQ
I can generally turn around approximately 3000 words per day. However, if you wish for me to work to specific style guide requirements, or to harmonise the text with the style and terminology of existing documents, then this may take longer. In addition, highly technical content which requires a lot of in-depth research or additional formatting may also require more time.
My prices are based on the word count and vary according to the complexity and urgency of your text. I can usually offer you a fixed price quotation based on the source word count as long as you have an electronic copy of the document you need translating. If you only have a paper/faxed document or a pdf file, depending on the quality of the image, I may need to charge by the hour to take account of the extra time required to process such documents.
I will be happy to make out a quote to you in GBP, EUR or USD.
I will submit my invoice to you upon completion of the project. For regular clients, I am happy to arrange a single, monthly invoice. My payment terms are 30 days from the invoice date, and I am happy to receive payments in GBP, EUR or USD.
The majority of professional translators only translate into their mother tongue, in accordance with the ITI Code of Conduct. Non-native speakers don’t always fully appreciate the finer nuances of the written language and will generally produce a substandard translation.
If you require a document translated into a different language, please drop me a line, and I will endeavour to put you in touch with a trusted colleague.
